East Greenbush- Thomas A. Bridges, Sr. age 76 yrs. Of East Greenbush passed away after a long illness on Monday May 16, 2016. He was born in Boston, MA and lived in the East Greenbush area for over 40 years. Mr. Bridges was former owner of the Miller Merchandise Company and was a US Air Force Veteran. Tom was a proud member of the Rensselaer Lodge of Elks BPOE # 2073, Life Member of the Albany Polish-American Citizens Club and a former member of the Joseph Zaloga American Legion Post. Tom enjoyed going to casinos, he enjoyed sports especially bowling and was an active supporter of St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Cherished Husband of Peggy Trombley Bridges. Loving Father of Melissa Bridges (Robert Brazil), Pamela Giuliano (Vincent), Diane Capogna (Jason) and Thomas Bridges, Jr., Michelle Bridges. Loving Grandfather of PJ, Andrew, Vinny, Melena, Ben, Grace and Thomas Bridges, III. Brother of Marion Cordova, Ritchie Gregory and Robert Gregory. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be held Friday morning at 8:30AM at the W. J. Lyons Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer all are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.
