Rensselaer- Kathleen E. Ody age 64 yrs. passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016. She was born in Albany and was a Rensselaer resident for most of her life. Kathy was employed as a senior clerk for the City of Rensselaer DPW for 20 years. She was also employed as a computer teacher for St. Joseph's School in Rensselaer. Kathy volunteered for many years for numerous organizations including Rensselaer Kiwanis, Music in the Park, Christmas in the City and helping out whenever and wherever she could. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Wife of the late Donald Ody, mother of Richard D. Ody (Jennifer Kelley), grandmother of Alexander Ody, sister of Richard and Nicholas Gibbs. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Monday evening at 7:00 PM all are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Monday prior to the service from 5-7PM.
