Rensselaer- Ruth Jackson died Thursday August 18, 2016. She was born in San Antonio, TX July 26, 1923 and lived most of her life in Rensselaer. Daughter of the late Emma Bodenburg Brook and Clarence Brook. Wife of the late Edmund Jackson who died in 1981 Ruth retired as a Sr. Lab Technician for the NYS Department of Health, division of labs and research after more than 36 years of service. She was a member and lector of St. Joseph's Church in Rensselaer and was also a member of Rensselaer Senior Citizens, AARP and CSEA Retirees.
Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Monday evening at 7:00. All are welcome to attend. Calling hours will be at the funeral home Monday prior to the service from 5-7PM. Interment will be Tuesday morning at 10:00 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery East Greenbush. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church PO Box 256 Rensselaer, NY 12144.
