Obituary of Thomas A. Greeley

Phoenix - Thomas A. Greeley, 47, of Phoenix, AZ formerly of Rensselaer, NY, died Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona after a prolonged illness.

Born on March 12, 1965 in Albany, he was the son of the late Anthony E. and Joan M. Greeley.

Thomas graduated from Rensselaer schools and held a Bachelor of Engineering and Masters of Business Administration from Boston University. He worked for several years in North Carolina as a telecommunications engineer for Nortel & a systems engineer for Motorola in Arizona. Most recently, Tom worked at General Dynamics in Scottsdale, as an electrical engineer. Tom’s interests included travel, which his life goal was to visit fifty countries before age fifty, but only made it to 43 countries. He also enjoyed blues piano, going to the movies with friends, Elvis Presley, and training his Boston Terrier's, Maggie and Radar.

Survivors include his sister Karen of Schodack, his Boston Terrier's, Maggie and Radar of Phoenix, many aunts, uncles and cousins, and many friends from Phoenix and Scottsdale. He was also predeased by his parents Anthony E. and Joan M. Greeley, his brother Wayne and several aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer, NY 12144.

His family and friends will miss him dearly.
