Troy- James Patrick Millett, 81, of Troy, New York, succumbed at home surrounded by his loving family on December 28, 2016. James is survived by his wife, Helen, of 56 years, daughter Kelly Millett, son Patrick Millett, and daughter-in-law Patrice Millett. He was the proud Poppy to three loving grandchildren, Connor Wilson, Cooper Wilson and Eion Falance. James was the faithful brother to Colleen Smith, Janice Messner, Margaret Millett and Donna Millett. He also leaves behind ten prized nieces and nephews. James was a consummate father, husband, grandfather and friend. James served in the United States Navy. He was a Korean War veteran serving from 1954 to 1958. James was a member of the Bricklayers, Local #2, Union and ran his own construction company from 1974 until retirement. An avid fisherman and boater, he loved to be on the water piloting his boat, The Someday. Although he loved this pastime, the real passion and loves of his life were his family . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society. A special thank you to the Rennsselaer County Hospice for their loving care and support. Funeral from the W.J.
