Rensselaer- Elaine DeBruyn, born in Cambridge, Mass. on April 16, 1944 passed into eternal rest on January 2, 2017 at home with her daughters by her side. Elaine worked hard all her life, sometimes working two jobs. She worked for EOC, Watervliet Arsenal, JC Penney and retiring from the Scotia Commissary. After retiring she worked for Jackson Hewitt and Tags. She volunteered at Circles of Mercy and Quilts for Kids. She enjoyed Bingo and traveling. Elaine is survived by her sister Lorraine (Bobby) Gross; daughters Dena (Jay) Wagner, Lisa (Tony) Scanu; her grandchildren Heather (Michael) Fitzsimmons, Chelsea (Josh) Willenbrink, Jacob Miller, Jennifer (Brian) Schanck; her great grandchildren Ava Miller and Logan Schanck; several nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Gary. A Mass will be held at the Church of St. Mary's at Clinton Heights on Columbia Tpk. at 10AM on Monday, January 9, 2017. All are welcome to attend.
