Obituary of Lori A. Eichler
Please share a memory of Lori to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lori Ann Book (51) of the village of castleton died Tuesday May 2nd 2017, peacefully and at home. Born in Albany and attended St. Marys Catholic high school. Lori was the granddaughter of the late Mary Jo(mimi) and Dwight Simons and the daughter of the late Carol and John Book. Lori is survived by and will be greatly missed by her children; daughter Elizabeth Teal (Jose Vanegas) of St. Petersburg Fl and son Michael Teal (Nikki Bentley) of Brunswick Ohio and their father David Teal Sr of Hampton Manor, Siblings; Charles and Deborah Herrick and David and Kristen Book, 4 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Lori was a beautiful kind hearted free spirited woman whose joy stemmed from helping others, her happiness came from seeing her children, grandchildren and family smiling. Her favorite place to be was outdoors. Lori enjoyed camping, boating and fishing on the Hudson River and Saratoga Lake with her fiance Raymond Joy of Castleton-on-Husdon. She loved walking along the nature trail and the beaver dam with one of her greatest companions, her little dog Tinkerbell who will miss her so much too. Lori also played alot of bingo with her sister-in-law and friend Bonnie Teal. She loved getting together with family and close friends to celebrate birthdays and holidays. Lori was known for cooking wayy too much food. Amazingly delicious food many of us will remember and miss for years to come. She really did put love in everything she made and everything she did.
We know now she left peacefully, greeted by those she missed most. Mimi, her grandpa her mom and dad and sister Kelly Herrick. They finally joined together for another game of canasta. May they all watch over us from the Heavens above.
The viewing for Lori Book will be held at the Lyons Funeral Home in Rensselaer on Monday May 8th from 9am until 10am. After which the father will join us for a prayer.
The burial of her ashes will take place on Wednesday the 10th at 12 noon at the Seplecur Cemetery.
Any flowers or contributions can be sent to the Lyons Funeral Home, can be addressed to Elizabeth and/or Michael Teal
