North Greenbush- Mary Jane O'Keefe Mara, 85, of North Greenbush passed away on Monday May 15, 2017. She was born in Albany and has lived in North Greenbush for 47 years. Wife of the late Joseph P. Mara Sr. Mother of Joseph (the late Christine) Mara, Mary (Daniel) Jordan, Shirleyann (Jack) Maddalla, Peter Mara and Margaret (Vincenzo) Catalfamo. Grandmother of Emily and Timothy Mara, Shannon(Steven) Callahan, Rebecca (Vincenzo) Jordan-Alfano, John (Jennifer) Maddalla, Alicia (Jay) Matthews, Jessica (Corey) Bowks, Vincent Peter Catalfamo and Sarah Catalfamo. Great Grandmother of Jack, Sam ,Charlie, Ayla, Maiven, Tanner, Liam, Sheamus, Rian, Aine, Raegan, Lucius, Maximus, and Giovanni. Daughter of the late John S. and Vera Winne O'Keefe. Sister of Robert and Richard O'Keefe and the late Shirley Lanza, John Jr. and William O'Keefe. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer, Saturday morning at 8:00 and 9:00 At the Black Catholic Apostolate formerly St. Joan of Arc Church, 76 Menand Road, Menands where a mass will be offered. Calling hours will be at the funeral home Friday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery East Greenbush.
