Rensselaer- Mary R. Speziale Futia, age 92, of Rensselaer passed away at Van Rensselaer Manor on Tuesday June 6, 2017. She was born in Albany on February 13, 1925 to the late Frank and Marie Luciano Speziale and has lived in Rensselaer for 7 years. Mrs. Futia was a homemaker as well as being employed for New York State Department of OGS. Mary was a good cook, played bingo and had a strong love of family.
Wife of the late Joseph Futia, Sr. Mother of Frances (Fred,Jr.) Clark, Frank (Deborah) Futia and the late Joseph Futia, Jr. Sister of Rose Futia and the late Connie, Thomas, Vincent, Michael and Dominick. Sister-in-law of Michael Futia and Mona Coluccio. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Saturday morning at 9:30. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-7 PM. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Colonie. The Family would like to thank the staff of wing B2 of Van Rensselaer Manor for their care, concern and support shown to us and our mother and the assistance of Rensselaer County Community Hospice.
