Our sympathies. Sister Joyce was one who accepted you as you were. She touched many lives through her tenure in Kenai and elsewhere. I will remember for not only her srevice to God, but the bridge playing and golf that we shared through the years in Kenai. All of us are blessed for having had her enter our lives.

I had the privilege of knowing Sr. Joyce since I was a young teenager. She would come to our house to bring communion to my grandmother. I loved listening to her stories of the places she'd traveled to and ministries performed. Sr. Joyce was a central figure in the faith formation of my own children growing up. I worked with her as we prepared high school students for confirmation and Sr. Joyce always had a message of kindness, acceptance and forgiveness. She was loved and will be missed.

My condolences to you. It was my honor to work with Sr. Joyce when she was in Kenai. She was a tireless servant of God and God's people, ahead of her time, compassionate and practical. I learned a lot from her. May she enjoy God's reward and gift for her labors.
