Obituary of Marilyn A. McCauley

DEFREESTVILLE - Marilyn A. Brownson McCauley, 84,  entered peacefully into eternal life on Friday, November 9, 2018 of natural causes at home.  She was the beloved wife for 56 years of the late Bernard P. McCauley Jr. and daughter of the late John and Margaret (Glasheen) Brownson.

           Marilyn was a long time communicant of St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church in Rensselaer where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, religious instructor and a member of the bereavement committee. She was a devoted mother of six and dedicated childcare provider.

           Marilyn is survived by her six children Kevin (Susan) McCauley of Easton, Keith (Tom) McCauley of Round Lake, Colin (Maria) McCauley of Bradenton, Florida, Bridget McCauley of Rensselaer, Brendan (Rodrigo) McCauley of Wyoming, Delaware, and Cara (Jason) Scoca of Land O’ Lakes, Florida.  She is the beloved grandmother of Brittany, Grace and Nora McCauley. Marilyn is also survived by her sister-in-law Patricia (the late Edward) Matthews of Speigletown and several nieces. She was predeceased by her cherished brother John N. Brownson and his late wife Joanne M. Gaiter Brownson.

           Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, Friday at 9am and 10am at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church, Herrick St., Rensselaer where the Funeral Mass will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home, Thursday from 4-7pm. Interment will follow the mass in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
