Obituary of Carol A Alcombright
East Greenbush – Carol A. Alcombright, 84, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at Van Rensselaer Manor. Carol was born in Albany and resided in East Greenbush for many years. She was an avid Beanie Baby collector and was the candy and fudge lady of the East Greenbush School Cafeteria. Her biggest joy was spending time with and caring for her children and grandchildren.
Wife of the late Ralph W. Alcombright; mother of Ralph Alcombright, Joseph (Karen) Alcombright, James (Rae) Alcombright and Kathy (Nick) DeFrusico; grandmother of Jamison, Joshua, James, Lindsay, Andrea, Lauren, Mackenzie, Dominic, Cori; sister of Kathy Miller, John Eames, Elaine Gardy, Stephen Eames, Dennis Eames and the late Regina Male, Norma Poland, Maryanne Delsignore and Edward Eames. Also survived by her loving former daughter-in-law Sheila Terry, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 at noon in the W. J. Lyons, Jr., Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home, Friday beginning at 10am. Interment will follow the service in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National, Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY. The family would like to thank Van Rensselaer Manor for their care, concern and compassion shown to their mother over the past four years. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Activities Department at Van Rensselaer Manor 85 Bloomingrove Drive Troy, NY 12180.
