Obituary of Dominick M. Mosca
East Greenbush- Dominick Micheal Mosca passed away at age 73 at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home located in East Greenbush, New York on Thursday, November 14, 2019 after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Dominick was born in Reggio di Calabria, Italy and moved to Albany, New York in 1954. Dominick graduated from Philip Schuyler High School in 1969. Dominick was an independent owner and salesman with Kirby Vacuum cleaners company for many years and he retired from Price Chopper. Dominick is remembered as a kind hearted man who loves helping people. He enjoyed horseracing, fixing his cars and spending summers at Saratoga Race Track and going to Wildwood, New Jersey with his family. He enjoyed playing the guitar and was also in his own band called Dominick and the Rockettes. Dominick was the son of the late Gregorio Mosca and Angelina Barbalace. Dominick is also survived by his siblings, Rosaria (Jack) Declercq, Joseph Mosca, Rosina Mosca, Luigi Mosca, Mario Mosca, Anthony (Lisa) Mosca. Dominick is the father of Danielle Mosca, Gregory (Trista Memmerth) Mosca and Samantha Mosca. Grandfather of Gregory Mosca, Jr., Gianna Mosca, James Canavan, Jayla and Juliana Henderson and Giovani Mosca. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dominick is also predeceased by lifelong family and friends Carol Winne and George Kirsch. Funeral from W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Tuesday morning at 10 and 11am at St. Francis of Assisi, South End Site, Fourth and Franklin, where the funeral mass will be held. Relatives and friends are invited and may call to the funeral home Monday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
