Obituary of Leslie R. Barnard, III

Rensselear- Leslie R. Barnard, III, 68, died, Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Albany Medical Center, peacefully in the presence of his family. Born in Albany he was the son of the late Leslie R. and Jeanne Hannon Barnard, Jr.

          Leslie worked for twenty years for both BA Railroad and Conrail. He then attended HVCC and St. Rose where he earned a bachelors degree and began working as a counselor at the Stratton VA Medical Center. He was a US Air Force Veteran and a longtime member of the sons of the American Legion. Leslie enjoyed, grilling, barbecuing, fishing, the Adirondacks, especially Lake George and was an animal lover.

          He is survived by his brother Wayne (Susan) Barnard, Sr., and his nephews Wayne, Jr and Brett (Brittany) Barnard. Leslie is also survived by several cousins.

          All services are private.
