When I would visit my father in the nursing home, sometimes I would bring my young son with me, and she was always so sweet to him. One day she asked the staff to get him some chocolate ice cream and sat with him and talked while he ate. She was really special.

I will always remember how much Sister Jeanne loved her immediate, and extended, family. She was always talking about her brothers, sisters, and our cousins. You could always count on receiving a card from her on your birthday or other special occasion. Until her full retirement, she typically also gave a modest gift. This was quite generous considering the limited discretionary spending she had.
