Obituary of Ann J. Servidone
Schodack- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Servidone. Ann passed away peacefully on October 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving girls, after a long battle with ALS. She was 78 years old.
Ann married Joseph Servidone in August of 1999 and they enjoyed 21 years together until Joe’s passing on December 31, 2020. They shared a wonderful life together, always entertaining in their home and traveling to many tropical locations with family and friends.
Ann enjoyed many years working as a cosmetologist, owning The Hair Affair, then joining the wonderful ladies at Cut Loose. She will always be remembered for her work ethic, outspoken wit, big heart and her love of shopping. Ann was a wonderful mother and her daughters will always appreciate everything she did for them.
Ann is survived by her three devoted daughters, Debbie McClune, Robin (Randy) Gillespie and Paula Brearton, as well as the apple of her eye, her only grandchild, Ashlee (Sean) McGovern. She was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first great grandson in January 2022. Also surviving is her step-son Bob (Pam) Hellwig and her siblings, William (Carol) Rielly, Frances Cesta, Joseph (Dorothy) Rielly, Marilyn (Michael Coleman) Arco, Kathy (Jim) Sullivan and Herman Lockrow, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition, she leaves behind her two beloved dogs, Goose and Sweet. Aside from her husband Joe, Ann was predeceased by her sister, Terry Murrisky, her brother, Allen (Maria) Lockrow, and her parents Eileen (Al) O’Rourke and William Rielly.
While it takes a village, much gratitude goes to her daughter Paula for opening her home and allowing Ann to spend the remainder of her life in comfort, surrounded by her family and friends. Special thanks to Nurse Robin, Felicia, Mike Stafford, Colleen Gidley, Grace and the entire Hospice team for their compassion, love and support.
