Dear Eileen and Sully,
My deepest condolences on the passing of your Mom. As you probably know my Mom (Mary Mahar Hogan) and Jeanne Sullivan Walsh were good friends. Attached is a photo of them from August 1947.
Somehow in these old photos they look more glamorous and fun-loving than we ever thought of being. I remember your entire family fondly. Our days at St. Joseph's School together seem like yesterday. That statement means I must be getting old.
Both women shared a pride in their Irish heritage, that I now find important as well.
I always thought the Walsh house was the nicest home in Rensselaer. I often saw your Mom sitting in the beautiful sunroom when I drove past. My very best to both of you.
