Obituary of Jane M. Filkins

Castleton- Jane M. Filkins age 92, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at home.  She was born on February 15, 1929 in Albany to the late Marie Stark and Anacleto “Joe” Condo. Jane attended and obtained a bachelor’s degree from the State Teacher’s College.  She was employed by the NYS Dept. of Taxation and Finance as a supervisor. 

Wife of the late Ernest J. Filkins.  Mother of Donald and Thomas (Jill) Filkins. Sister of Nancy (Ken) Downes and the late Francis (Nancy) Condo.  Grandmother of Diana (David) Vance, Brian (Erin) Filkins, Laura (David Elms) Filkins and Alyssa (Robert) Albreada.  Great grandmother of Nicholas “Cole” and Abigail “Abby” Vance and Cameron Filkins.  

Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Tuesday at 10:30AM.  All are welcome to attend.  Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Monday from 4-7 PM.  Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
