Obituary of Anthony B. Monaco, Jr.
Scotia- Anthony “Moe” Monaco, Jr. age 87 passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022. He was born in Albany on February 17, 1935. Moe enlisted in the US Navy in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1956. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 294.
Father of Geri Valentine, Debra Monaco, Joseph (Paula) Monaco and Kimberly Monaco (Peter). Grandfather of Joelle Monaco, Tessa Valentine, Malina Valentine, Morgan Monaco, Ethan Szemansco, Jack Szemansco, Jeana Monaco and Christopher Monaco. Great grandfather of Anthony Burden. Brother of Elizabeth Templeton and Antionette Morrell.
Moe loved his family and enjoyed a good cigar.
Funeral services will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Wednesday February 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Tony’s family would like to thank everyone at Van Rensselaer Manor especially Wing A2 and Hospice for the loving care, concern and compassion shown to our dad.
