Obituary of Keith L. Smalls

Brooklyn- Keith L. Smalls age 57 passed away suddenly on March 1, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at Albany Medical Center. Keith was born and raised in Brooklyn before moving to the capital district 23 years ago. Keith was an avid fan of the New England Patriots, especially Tom Brady. Above all, Keith loved spending time with his family and children. He was the family man enjoying get togethers and bar-b-ques in the summer.  Keith’s laughing was infectious, and his smile would light up a room. He was employed by MVP Health Care in Schenectady and loved going to work and being with his coworkers. Husband of Claudia L. DeBrocky.  Father of Keith Flowers (Sharia), Shakeem Smalls (Melissa), Adriana Smalls, Xzayvean Smalls and Rayanna Smalls. Grandfather of Khloe, Kailyn, Zariah Smalls, Kahsier, Keith Jr., and Kemauri Flowers.  Brother of Leonard Smalls and Brenda Rivers.  Uncle of Shavonda Smalls, Leonard Smalls, Jr. Jagger Vera-Martinez, Michael DeBrocky and Leo DeBrocky. Son-in-law of Linda and Russell DeBrocky. Brother-in-law of Michael DeBrocky (Filicia). Keith was predeceased by his mother Florence Smalls and his granddaughter Brianna Smalls. He is also survived by his best friend William Stevenston and several cousins.   

Funeral from the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer, Friday, March 11, 2022 at 10 AM.  All are welcome to attend.  Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday from 4-7 PM.  Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Sand Creek Road, Albany.
