Obituary of Melanie Ann Dwileski
On Monday July 4, 2022, Melanie A. Dwileski (Clemens), mother to four children and beloved ‘Granny’ to two very special boys, passed away at the age of 79 after a short bout with colon cancer. Born on April 20, 1943, Melanie spent her life growing up in the City of Rensselaer. In her twenties, her younger brother introduced her to his co-worker Paul. After becoming accustomed to his driving skills, Melanie decided that he was the one and settled down on Mountainview Terrace in Defreestville, where she raised her family and spent most of her life. After retiring from the State of New York, Melanie filled her time following tennis, the Yankees, golf, watching Gunsmoke, ironing, enjoying a nice book with a cup of coffee in the company of her cat, or the occasional mahjong or trivia game with friends and family. Her love for her favorite past times was only trumped by that for her children and grandsons which was so strong it uprooted this New York native and forced her to relocate to Woodstock, GA where she spent the remainder of her time smiling and creating countless memories.
Melanie was preceded in death by her brothers Joe and Bill, son Christopher, and husband Paul. She is survived by her three children Allison, Andrew, Aaron and his wife Anna, along with her grandsons Hudson and Harrison. Melanie is also survived by many nieces and nephews who lovingly refer to her as ‘Aunt Mel. Her sense of humor, wit, stubbornness will be missed by all and cherished forever.
