Mrs. Thorsen, John, Michael and family,
I'm sorry to hear of Mr. Thorsen's passing and know this time is very difficult. He was a man of community and family and that is a wonderful legacy and gift. May the days and months ahead be filled with memories that surround you with all you need and buoy you at this most challenging of times. I will be thinking of you.

My whole childhood is filled with such wonderful memories of John.
He was a special person and my father’s best friend. At every turn, in my life he was there; the good, the bad and some of the hardest days of my life. The best part was you never had to ask, I would just turn around and he would be there. He made the world a better place and I am blessed to have had him part of my life. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
Love and prayers to his entire family.
Love,
Donna

Nancy and Family,,
Many fond thoughts of John came from my memory bank this morning. My visits to Rayge Display beginning in the 1980’s were vital to the development of my business, The Country Trunk in East Greenbush. I appreciated how John was always offering
praise for my endeavors and giving me “business advise”. To this day, my son remembers that John always had a donut for him while I shopped!
My sincere condolences,
Nancy Keenholts

When I was principal at Chatham and John was my assistant principal, we would frequently call on his dad for assistance with various school functions. His dad was always gracious and very helpful. He never missed acknowledging your presence and saying thank you for the business. A true gentleman!
John was close to his dad and I know had the utmost respect for him.
I offer my prayers and condolences and may you all live on enjoying the memories of a very special person.
Sincerely,
Ronald R. Davis
