Obituary of Luella L. Buono

Rensselaer- Luella L. Buono, age 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2023, surround by her loving family.  She was born in Albany and was a lifelong resident of the City of Rensselaer.

Luella was an avid knitter and enjoyed crocheting. She also loved traveling. Luella was a volunteer at the Robert C. Parker Preschool for many years, where she was fondly known as Gammy Lulu.

She was the wife of the late Dominic J. Buono. Mother of Cynthia Buono and Denise (Aaron) Gagnon.  Grandmother of Catherine Gagnon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 4-7pm at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, NY.  A Funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 10:30am at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church, Herrick Street, Rensselaer. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
