Obituary of Carmen P. Patti

East Greenbush-Carmen Peter Patti , age 91, passed away peacefully at Van Rensselaer Manor on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023. The family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful care Carmen received from Van Rensselaer Manor, 3rd floor wing A staff. Thank you all for your hard work, dedication and attentiveness.

Carmen was a graduate of Troy High School, and went on to graduate with a degree in Electrical Technology from HVCC. He then worked for the NY Telephone Company where he later retired from after 36 years.  Carmen was also a proud Veteran of the US Army.

Carmen was a homebody and enjoyed spending time with his wife maintaining their home inside and out.  He was a collector of many tools and gadgets that kept him occupied. Riding his grandchildren around in his tractor and driving golf balls into the back 9 of his property are just a few of his favorite passtimes. His sense of humor was the highlight of many family gatherings and will be greatly missed. His 91 years of life has blessed his family and friends with so many cherished memories.

Carmen is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Vivian, of 68 years; his three children, Michael (Maria) Patti, Lisa (David) Calarco and Danielle (Jim) Lundstrom; and his four grandchildren, Vinny (Meredith) Calarco, Samantha (Colton) Hill, Maressa and Michael Patti.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Peter and Rose (Cannino) Patti, Carmen is also predeceased by his brothers Joe (Liz), Tony (Ethelyn) and sisters Mary Pasinella and Yolanda (Ray) Bell.    

Family and friends are invited and may call on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 4-7pm to the W.J. Lyons, Jr., Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
