Obituary of Colleen D. Clark

Rensselaer- Colleen D. Clark, age 89, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, August 17, 2023.  Born in Rensselaer, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Bertha M. (Snyder) Stedman.

Colleen enjoyed going out to eat, playing cards, bingo, and the casino. She loved pigs and butterflies and enjoyed watching golf on T.V. Most of all, Colleen had a profound love of family and friends.

She is survived and will be dearly missed by her children, Melissa (Robert) Caswell, Sandra (Fred) Schumacher, Frank (Donna) Beckwith, John Beckwith, Scott (Kim) Beckwith, Guy Beckwith, Colleen (Robert) Stevens; her stepchildren, Monte (Jill) Clark, and Jane (Joe) Dzembo. As well as, her beloved 19 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents she is predeceased by her spouses, Clifford F. Clark and Robert L. Beckwith; her siblings, Shirley Merkley and Robert Skip Snyder; her children, Robert Beckwith, Melinda Stokes, Mark Beckwith; her step-children Clifford Clark, Lilian Ellis, Joseph Clark, Gloria Fisher, John Clark and Theresa Cano.

The family would like to thank everyone who has been her friend throughout her life. She valued those friendships dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 10am-1pm to the W.J. Lyons, Jr., Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer. A Funeral home service will follow at 1:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Elmwood Cemetery in West Sand Lake.
