Obituary of Frances M. Genovesi

Albany - Frances M. Genovesi, age 68, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

She is survived by brothers Tom Genovesi (Phyllis) and Joe Genovesi; sister Irene Genovesi; niece and goddaughter Nichole (Gary); and nieces Mary Rose (John) and Bonita; nephew and godson Rob (Kylee); and nephews Tommy (Maddie) and Anthony; and several beloved grand nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary R. Genovesi; her father, Thomas P. Genovesi Sr., and her sister, Bonnie Genovesi.

Fran also treasured her long-time friends and always looked forward to her Thursday nights out with them. After graduating from Columbia high school, Fran worked for NY State for 35 years. She loved cheering on the Dallas Cowboys as a lifelong fan. Fran cherished the moments she spent with loved ones at family gatherings. Her kind and fun-loving spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 10-11:30am at the W. J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer. A funeral home service will follow at 11:30am. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont immediately following the service.
