Obituary of Irving William Beardsley

Rensselaer – I. William Beardsley “Briz”.  Bill Beardsley passed away peacefully at home on December 26, 2023.  He was born on May 14, 1953, son of the late Irving and Geraldine (Goode) Beardsley.

A lifelong resident of the City of Rensselaer, he was a truck driver for over 40 years, until his retirement in 2021.

Bill loved being a truck driver, NASCAR, cooking on his grill in all kinds of weather, Saturday morning coffee with his friends at Stewarts, vacations in Maine, fixing anything that needed fixing and quickly labeling anything he couldn’t fix as “JUNK”.  Most of all, he loved his grandchildren and granddog, Hank.

He is survived by his wife, Paulann (Behan), his children, Kira Green and Shana Beardsley (Michael McGrail), grandchildren Elijah Mallory, Kassidy, Connor and Milo McGrail, sister, Deanna (Donald) Lang, sister-in-law, Ellen (Joel) Forgea and dear friend, Steven Springer.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

It should come as no surprise to all who knew him, there will be no calling hours or service.
