Obituary of Ann R. Distell

Rensselaer- Ann R. Distell, age 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2024, at the Teresian House Nursing Home. She was born on August 18, 1931 in Albany to the late Joseph T.  Sr. and Catherine (Hepinstall) Distell. 

Ann attended St. John's High School and later graduated from the College of St. Rose with a Bachelor of Science. Following her graduation, she entered into a career with the FBI for 48 years, where she retired as an investigator. 

Ann was active in the church choir for many years at St. John the Evangelist Church. 

Ann is survived and will be dearly missed by her brother Joseph T. (Meg) Distell, Jr.; her nephew, Andrew (Kamal) Distell, and her niece Caroline (Thomas) Cole. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 12 pm at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church, Herrick Street, Rensselaer. Relatives and friends are invited to call prior to the mass at the church from 11 am-12 pm.
