Obituary of John J. Kolb, Jr.

Rensselaer- John J. Kolb Jr., age 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at The Grand at Barnwell in Valatie. He was born in Albany to the late John J. Sr., and Sophie (Buzzuska) Kolb.

He was the husband of the late Frances V. Kolb; father of John J. (Sue) Kolb; grandfather of Rachel (Tami) Kolb and Emma Kolb; brother of William (Ellen) Kolb and the late Shirley Vanwie and Mary Mooney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 10:30am at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church, Herrick Street in Rensselaer. Relatives and friends are invited and may call to the W.J. Lyons, Jr., Funeral home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, prior to the mass from 9am-10am. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush, immediately following the Mass.
