Rensselaer-Philip M. Lange, age, 74 years of Rensselaer passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush. He was born and raised in Glens Falls. Phil was employed as a Medical Transcriptionist for the New York State Employee Health Services until his passing. He was a kind and caring man and someone who gave good advice. Phil enjoyed Florida trips, wine tasting, swimming, family time and most of all music was his passion. Phil resided with the Howland family and was loved for many years. Son of the late Gilbert and Emilie Lange; husband of the late Harriet Lange; brother of Paul (Dora) Lange of Rochester and the late Mark and Peter Lange. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Best friend of the late Lester Jeffries for numerous years. He is also survived by the Howland family, Steven and Joan Howland, Adam (Christina) Howland (AJ, Anthony and Rey), Steven (Corissa) Howland (Steven R and Alan), Christopher (Ashley) Howland (Noah), Daniel Howland and Aye Aye Aung. The Howland family wishes to express great thanks to Evergreen Commons 2 Greenbush Lane for all their great concern and love for Phil. Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Wednesday January 20, 2016 at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Wednesday prior to the service from 5-7 pm.
