I never knew Paul very well while we served together in A/2/12 but I do recall him passing me by many time as we trudged through the jungles of Vietnam. You had the same look that most of had as we wondered, "How did I get myself into this?" Like most of us, you were a warrior who saw his duty and did the best he could and between all of us we wrote important history for our unit. We didn't have a clue about that until decades later when we researched our time in Vietnam and discovered how distinctive a unit we served in compared to many other infantry units.
At the turn of the century a few of us began Alpha Association and were lucky to have the opportunity to reunite with our long lost friends, You and Michelle were continuous attendees to our annual reunion and were a delight to spend time with. Michelle met other ladies who were married to our veterans and they would joke about putting up with some of our nonsensical behavior at times. It's not easy to deal with someone who saw as much as we did as young men and keep the pieces together. These ladies were the real heroes of Alpha Association. We will miss Paul terribly but rest assured, Michelle will continue to be a special member of our organization and will be welcomed whenever we meet.
Our deepest sympathies are extended to the family of Paul. He was a special man who earned our admiration during a very challenging time in our lives.
Bill Comeau, President Alpha Association, A/2/12, 1966-67 Vietnam.

To the Family, so sorry for your loss. Hope you will be comforted in knowing that Paul has the prospect of being resurrected, healthy (in the flesh), to Paradise Earth just as Jehovah God has promised. In fact , the vast majority will enjoy everlasting life right here on earth as God had intended from the beginning. God's Kingdom will do this under the rule of Jesus Christ. Paul was my big brother, as you know, I just love seeing all these posts from other Vietnam Vets. I was so proud of his service as a teenager while he served. I'm so glad he hooked back up with all of you. Thank you all. And yes Paul was the best. Even when he taught me what an injury was. He jabbed me with his fork when I asked. I will forever miss him.

My sincere condolences to Paul's family and friends. I served with Paul in Vietnam. He was a good soldier and a good friend. One of my best memories was playing golf with Paul at the A/2/12 reunions. He loved the game and was a pleasure to play with. He will be missed by all his brothers from A/2/12.

My sincere condolences at Pauls passing. I too was a driver of" just in time freight". At reunions of Alpha Co to which we belonged, we would commiserate on the difficulties of the road. He was a true professional driver and I was impressed with his knowledge. He mentioned how he liked home made jerky . I found a guy who made jerky in a tiny town near our home in Twin Lakes. I sent it to him and he called to say thanks. He was a good man and from all the photos he was a good Dad, a good Grandpa. His life with his family was well lived. God rest him in peace.

I remember when Uncle Paul and Aunt Michelle had all the girls including myself in the car or van I think. They told us to get down and hide. We didn’t know what was going on. Then next thing you know, he told us to get up and he and Aunt Michelle surprised us with a trip to the amusement park. Wish I could remember the name. But I sure did have fun. I spent many a nights at my Uncle Paul’s and Aunt Michelle’s.
I joined the Army because of my Uncles Paul, Kenny. I The last thing my Uncle told me through Aunt Michell was , is that he was proud of me. And they put my military service on the wall at church. I love you all. Wish I could be there. Hugs prayers and love being sent your way.

Dear Michelle and family,
I just want to say how sorry I am to hear about Paul’s passing. I’m sure you don’t need anyone to tell you what a wonderful man he was but let me tell you what I remember of him. His faithfulness. His faithfulness to God, to the House of Praise, and his faithfulness to Pastor Bob. He was always there whenever anyone needed his particular expertise of which he had many and was very generous in sharing his time to help. Moses had his Aaron to hold his hands when he wearied and Paul was an Aaron in the House of Praise. I know we are to rejoice that Paul has gone to meet Jesus, but we who are left are allowed our sadness and grief. Please accept my sincerest sympathy. Your family was blessed to have Paul and so was House of Praise.
Love, Diane Hulett
