Obituary of Paul M. Lovelace
Paul M. Lovelace, 72, of Sand Lake, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 in St. Peter’s Hospice.
Paul was born in Albany, NY to Michael and Margaret Lovelace on September 23, 1946. He was the beloved husband of 48 years to Maureen Michelle (Conlin) Lovelace. In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his children Lori (Jeffrey) Clesceri, Amy (Aaron Miller) Lovelace, and Kristi (Michael) Moore. His three grandchildren Marissa (Nathan) Westfall, and Judah and Allison Moore brought him great love and joy. Paul is predeceased by sibling Kenneth (Karen) Lovelace. He is survived by siblings Michael (Sherry) Lovelace, Linda Ruby, Carol Lovelace, Brenda (Al) Chamberlain and Carl Lovelace. Paul has five half-brothers as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Paul was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War serving in A company, 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry. Paul fought bravely alongside his Army brothers in several battles including the Battle of Suoi Tre. He enjoyed many reunions with his unit as a member of the Alpha Association.
Paul was a tractor trailer driver for 30 years. He enjoyed playing golf and riding motorcycles. Paul was a longtime member of House of Praise Church in Castleton, NY where he served in several different ministries and was a father figure to many. He will be greatly missed by friends and family, especially his dear friend Dan Coyle.
Memorial service will be held at the House of Praise Church Rt 9, Castleton Saturday at 12PM. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the CHURCH prior to the service on Saturday beginning at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Hospice Inn located in St. Peter’s Hospital. We thank them for their care and compassion.
