Obituary of Patricia E. Bourdeau

Rensselaer- Patricia Eleanor Pratt Bourdeau, age 83, of Rensselaer, NY, passed away November 14, 2019. She was born March 27, 1936 in Albany, NY. Patricia was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Rensselaer. She was a woman of great faith and deep prayer with a special devotion to Our Blessed Mother. Her kind and humble spirit touched many and she will be greatly missed. 

Patricia was the daughter of the late Norman H. Pratt, Sr. and Elsie Ardt Pratt. Loving mother of James (Carmen) of Flagler Beach, FL, Jonathan (Kelly) of Orlando, FL, Catherine (Robert) of Seattle, WA, Timothy (Bonnie) of Davie, FL, David (Andrea) of Hudson, WI and Patricia Ann (Lisa) of Nassau, NY. Grandmother of Lyndsey, Sydney, Jonathan, Stephanie, Tyler, Zachary, Alexandria and Ella; great-grandmother of Riley, Joseph, and Wesley. Sister of Mary Holmquist, Beverly Ryan, Rita Burns, James Pratt and the late Marie Griffin, Helen Pratt, Thomas Pratt, Walter Pratt, Edward Pratt, Margaret Shook, Norman H. Pratt, Jr., and Nancy Van Detta. Former wife of the late James Bourdeau, Sr. She is also survived by an abundance of nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer, Thursday, November 21, from 4:00pm – 7:00pm.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Michael Farano on Friday, November 22 at 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church, Herrick Street, Rensselaer. 

Interment will be held in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery privately at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to thank Patricia’s many caregivers at St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Van Rensselaer Manor, and The Community Hospice.
