I remember Vinny from more than 20 years ago when we were together in the Army National Guard helicopter unit at the Albany County airport. On certain evenings we would fly the helicopters after leaving work and not having time for a dinner. We would go to the facility and Vinny would have a full meal for us including meat, potatoes, a vegetable and always a dessert. I always remember how he took care of us and marveled at how he was able to do that for, as best I can recall, a dollar a meal. He was always well liked by all the aviators. Vinny’s family has my sincere condolences.
