Mark absolutely radiated the love of God in how he lived. He had many challenges along the way, but he persevered and never stopped growing in his relationship with the Lord.
Although we are in mourning that he is absent in the body, we know he is now present with the Lord and at peace. Sending prayers for heavenly peace and comfort for all friends and family who are affected by his passing.

Mark was such an amazingly fun spirit. He would always joke around with me on Hotline at the Van Rensselaer Manor. I remember one day I was in Walmart with my Nana and I heard someone say behind me “Arianna I’m gonna need you to come to the office” I turned around and Mark was there with a big smile. That smile was so contagious. I will miss and cherish our time together Mark!

Mark was a quiet man who knew how to make people laugh. After going through a lot of hardship in his life he came to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. His life was completely changed around at Teen Challenge. Thank you to everyone at Teen Challenge for all your love , guidance , labor, provisions and time helping Mark to be set free and continue to live his life knowing our Lord and Savior. We now are able to celebrate his life knowing he will spend all eternity in heaven with God our Father and being a joint heir with Jesus Christ! There will be a big hole in many peoples lives without Mark here on earth. The consolation is someday those who choose salvation in Jesus will someday see Mark again with a new body. One of my favorite pictures below is the one of all the grandkids with their Grandpa and Grandma! One picture shows Mark’s dog Roxy whom he loved very much. Mark worked hard, liked his hats and to work out. My prayers to your dad, mom, all your brothers and sisters. We will always love and miss Mark greatly! Love , Aunt Lois

I knew Mark for all his years at Red Mill Elementary School as I was one of his teachers. I remember his Mom telling me that a Streck never gives up. Mark showed this in his school work and, from what I have read in other tributes, carried this into his adult life. Donna, you always were a wonderful support to all your children and Mark was lucky to be a member of the Streck family. I am so sad for you as you cope with life without Mark. Memories of him have a place in my heart and he will always be with us in spirit.

On my first day working at Walmart, Mark greeted me not like a stranger, but like an old friend. As time passed working together, we became friends and often talked for hours at a time while working. RIP to a great man.

I worked many years at VRM and cannot remember a time that Mark didn’t have a smile on his face or something nice to say. Long after I left we would see each other around town and he never failed to stop and chat. He was truly a good and kind person and will be missed by all who knew him
