Jake was very talented. He was a wonderful cook.
He made the best linguini with clam sauce.
He also was a wonderful carpenter and created amazing projects that he and Karen could enjoy.
He also built planes and railroads that were beautiful. Jake never bragged; he just did!

Dear Karen,
We were saddened to learn of Jake's passing. Marianne reached out and let us know. Please accept our condolences. Jake had such a great spirit. He is the source of many great memories. That laugh was unique. When we lived in Delmar he was always helping me out with some mechanical problem I couldn't fix. We will be thinking about you and the boys today.

Bernard ( Jake ) Duffy was born in Brady hosp in Albany on March 9, 1943 to Dr and Mrs Bernard A Duffy. He lived on New Scotland Avenue, and attended St Theresa of Avila school, then Christian Brothers Academy, Albany high and Hudson Vally CC. He then joined the U.S. Navy and served primarily in the Mediterranean. Growing up Jake enjoyed his summers in the mountains of Taborton at the Berlin Mountain Fish and Game Club, where the family owned a summer home. After coming home from the navy. Jake started his own business ( Duffy Electric) and ran it for many years. When the rigors of doing electric work became undoable, he opened a Hobby Shop in Rensselaer. He was also a member of Normanside club cc and enjoyed many rounds of golf there. These are just a few of the highlights of Jakes dynamic life. From his sister. Marianne
