Peggy Cross was an exceptional person in many ways. She was always kind and compassionate and loved her family, friends, and colleagues. Peggy was never to busy to help you in any way she could. When I was at St. Michael’s I was the sacristan and cantor. We had many interactions and they were always kind and respectful. Peggy had the way of giving you a stare and without hesitation you knew she was wondering something. No matter who you were you were treated with dignity and respect! Her loyalty was unquestionable and she was always there to help. A lady of deep faith! To know Peggy you were most fortunate.
May she rest in peace,
Br. Ron Davis, TSA

I remember Peggy well; as teens, Anna and my daughter Chris were pals in the fife and drum corps in Delmar. A really nice lady and someone I can imagine must leave a gap in the lives of her friends and family and her parish.

Peggy was a huge part of my life growing up as a child. I met her youngest daughter Lisa in kindergarten. She set up multiple play dates when I was growing up. My first time over playing with Lisa we played hide and seek and I lost her favorite stuffed animal. Peggy called my Mom and found it under Lisa’s bed.
In my teenage years, she was always sitting at the kitchen table reading. Waiting for us to burst in the door. She would always listen to our wild stories about the adventures of that day. She was the kindest and most warm hearted woman I have ever met. She always took care of me in my time of need. Always had a warm and welcoming hug. Always loving. She will truly be missed by all.

Peggy, you were such a positive force around us at the office. You always looked to make things easier and better for all of us. When you didn't agree you had that special way to roll your eyes and look the other way while smiling all the time. It won't be the same and church will be different when I look out and you are not in the Peggy Cross seat. You would always let me bother the money counters on Monday while just giving me the Peggy stare and I will certainly miss that. You are dearly loved and will always be in our prayers and thoughts. Peace and Love Deacon Bob and Pat
